Darling little series of Birthday Girls years 1 through 21 each with their own birthday number. Each year is a little taller than the last. Made by Muriel Josef George and pictured in the Josef Originals book "Charming Figurines" on pages 43-45. All are hand painted and have black eyes and gold trim. This is the cute little Birthday Girl #2. She is so cute holding her teddy bear. She stands 3 inches tall and is incised on the bottom "Josef Originals" in script and has the © that indicates she is Vintage. She also has her original black & gold JO and Japan stickers. Hang tag says "A Josef Original" on the front and "The Second Year" on the back. Poem inside reads: Now I'm TWO And walk just fine. I found a chair that I can climb. But when all play has lost its charms. Nothing's nice as Mommie's arms.
