This is a very nice side handle to fit certain medium to larger egg beater type hand and breast drills that have a 5/16" diameter tapped hole in the side of the frame of the drill. Some of these hand drill models include the North Brothers Yankee No. 1540 and No. 1545. This handle may fit other antique hand and breast drills also, based on the 5/16-18 thread size. This hardwood (walnut) handle is in very good condition overall with a good finish on it. Very study, no cracks, good ferrule and threads. It measures .87" diameter x 5.25" long overall not including the threaded rod. A hard to find replacement!
