This is a nice clean tanged, gouge carving chisel, marked "ROBT SORBY CAST STEEL". It's in very good condition, sharp, but could use some honing before use. The handle is solid, nice brass ferrule, no cracks, an owner's name neatly stamp on it, a beautiful hand polished finish on it. A good used .31" wide x 9.7" long carving chisel, by a well know English maker!
