This is a super nice raw-hide leather head mallet! The entire head is raw hide with three brass screws pinning the rolled hide together in round form, to a 2 inch diameter. The handle passed through the head, and is 12 inch long, and very firmly attached to the head. The raw hide is in 98% like new condition, and the handle is about the same! The label is mostly faded away, but we can read "SACO MAINE" so we believe the maker is Garland A great no mar hammer or mallet to have in most any workshop!
