Antique Richards and Hartley toothpick holder Cat on a Pillow Pattern Circa 1880's. Also known as Kitten on Pillow Toothpick Holder. Lovely With the Kitten Cat Laying on a Pillow holding up the scalloped rim with a Daisy Button type pattern Toothpick Holder Cup. Fantastic Early American Pressed Glass Toothpick Holder. It is just beautiful. It is in excellent condition no chips no cracks. There is some striation lines along the sides of the pillow and one on the top of the pillow located just below the cat's head. These are from the making and no way detract from the lovely piece. Measures 3 1/2 inches high and 3 inches square on the base. Richards and Hartley produced glass including flint glass from Circa 1866 to 1891. The exact date period of this item is unknown to me. It is so sweet and so amazingly different.
