This is a new old stock heavy duty slot bit for your brace.  This one has the 5/16" wide tip and the 1/2" width at the widest point of the taper.  It is marked "STANLEY MADE IN U.S.A. NO. 26 - 5/16".  These are soon becoming rare in new condition at least.  I only have one of these left.
