This is a nice clean marking gauge marked "DEFIANCE BY STANLEY MADE IN U.S.A. NO. 1291" on the main shaft. It has very little wear overall, a good steel scribe point. It has inch graduation from 0-6" with very little wear. This type has the threaded wood screw the holds the head in place. The threads are in great shape, works fine. This one is in surprisingly nice shape, with one a few minor scratches and edge dings! A hard to find collectible marking gage!
