This is a nice clean boxwood architect's rule with the arch joint feature, very well made, and in good+ condition. It is marked "STANLEY NO. 53 1/2" on one side. As you can see there is some wear on the outside surfaces, and around the two pins area from closing the rule up without the pins being aligned. There is a few areas where the center brass has a few file marks noted also, otherwise the beveled edges, all the boxwood, and brass is in good+ condition. All the graduation are still clearly seen, with a 24" total length. Two of the 3 original brass pins are in place, and some minor warping to report on the two segments opposite the arch joint. A very nice, hard to find, architect's rule overall!
