This is a nice clean ratchet brace marked "STANLEY 923-8IN" on nickel plated arm. It has good, solid, clean rosewood handles in nice condition with no cracks or damage, some tiny dings.  In this case the ratchet system is marked "PAT. PENDING" where new models have the patent number on the ratchet system. The brace is 13.75 long overall and a 8" diameter swing. This is a clean brace, with very little wear, about 50% of the original nickel plating is intact.  A good working 2-jaw chuck (spring loaded jaws) and ratchet system. The jaws are possibly a replacement jaw set, they are spring loaded and works fine.  The end handle is ball bearing type bushing, spins freely.  An upper mid-range quality tool that is still in very good working condition.
