This is a genuine World War II era U.S. Navy bulkhead pressure barometer, manufactured in 1942 by Fee and Stemwedel, Inc. of Chicago. The instrument features a distinctive peach-orange dial face marked "U.S. NAVY" and "PRESSURE INCHES OF MERCURY" alongside the serial number 14083 and the production year 1942. It is housed in a heavy black-finished metal casing designed for secure wall or bulkhead mounting.
The dial displays pressure in inches of mercury, utilizing a dual-pointer setup with a black indicator needle and a brass reference hand. The maker's mark "MADE BY FEE AND STEMWEDEL, INC. CHICAGO" is clearly printed on the left side of the dial. The reverse side shows the solid black metal backing with mounting flanges and adjustment screws.
This piece is in very good vintage condition, showing minor wear and patina consistent with its age and military service. The glass cover is intact and clear, and the dial face remains bright with minimal fading.
