This is a striking vintage cobalt blue glass measuring pitcher, dating to the Depression era (circa 1930s). The pitcher features highly detailed embossed measuring guides on multiple sides, including specialized culinary conversions such as 'POUND BUTTER MAKES 1 PINT', 'POUND FLOUR SIFTED EVEN FULL', 'POUND SUGAR MAKES 1 PINT', as well as standard liquid weights and ounce markings up to 1 Quart (32 oz). The bottom of the pitcher is finished with a classic molded starburst or rayed pattern. The rich, deep cobalt blue color makes this a beautiful display piece for a farmhouse or retro kitchen, as well as a highly collectible piece of vintage glassware.
