This is a vintage 50 lb. Kraft Pure Vegetable Shortening metal tin bucket, featuring the iconic "Red Label Type" branding. Produced by Kraft Foods (a division of National Dairy Products Corp.) out of Chicago, Illinois, this large advertising tin was originally used for commercial deep fat frying shortening. It features a vibrant red background with bold white and red Kraft logo graphics, complete with its original lid and wire bail handles on the sides. The tin shows a wonderful aged patina, with scattered rust, scratches, and minor dents consistent with its age and commercial use. The interior and bottom show surface rust, adding to its rustic, industrial farmhouse appeal.
