This is a vintage "Super Deluxe Case" manufactured by the renowned Pachmayr Gun Works Inc. of Los Angeles, California. Designed specifically for handgun target shooters, this classic range box features a durable black textured exterior, a sturdy carrying handle, and robust metal hardware. The interior is exceptionally well-preserved, showcasing the patented "Adjustable Lok-Grip Tray" (Patent No. 2,329,276) designed to securely hold handguns in place during transport. The upper lid features elastic loops perfect for securing cleaning rods, tools, or other shooting accessories. The lower compartment offers ample storage space for ammunition, safety gear, and targets. Based on the "Los Angeles 15, Calif." postal zone address on the label, this case pre-dates the introduction of ZIP codes in 1963, likely dating its manufacture to the 1950s. It remains in very good vintage condition with minor exterior scuffs and wear consistent with age and careful use.
