This is a vintage Realistic TR-883 Stereo 8-Track Record/Play Deck (Cat. No. 14-946A), new in its original box, owner's manual, and accessories. Manufactured for Radio Shack (a division of Tandy Corporation), this classic piece of 1970s home audio history features a handsome walnut-grained vinyl veneer cabinet and a brushed silver-aluminum faceplate. The front panel is equipped with dual illuminated VU meters, program indicators, a tape slot, and tactile knobs and buttons for recording and playback control. The unit appears to be in excellent cosmetic condition, showing very minimal signs of previous use. The original box is included and shows some typical shelf wear, taping, and aging, but has kept the unit well-protected over the decades. Also included is the original owner's manual and a set of RCA cables still sealed in their plastic packaging. This is a fantastic find for vintage audio collectors and 8-track enthusiasts alike.
