Vintage Schuco Wind Up Bavarian Dancing Boy and Girl Germany. No Key, but appears to work, girl goes up and down as if boy is lifting her up. From research, this toy was made around the 1930's, pre war. This is a tin and celluloid wind up toy, a tin boy with celluloid boots, felt clothing and velvet hair, which appears all there and his clothing looks good. He has painted facial features and his celluloid boots are stamped Schuco Patent on one side and Made in Germany on the other. The girl has felt clothing, painted hair, with minimal play wear. She has painted facial features and painted on shoes. The girl is made of Celluloid, she is marked with a symbol and the number 10 on her back. She is in beautiful condition with all of her original felt clothing, except for her hat. There is no key but you can manually life the girl up and down as if he is lifting her up. Toy needs a new key. Some soiling, but over all excellent, the girls has minimal paint wear to her hair. I have not cleaned. Height of boy 5 inch; Height of girl 3 1/4 inch.
