Vintage Sewing Box Couch covered with Floral Barkcloth Upholstery. This was made just like a stuffed couch and the fabric is hand stitched on with real heavy thread, Made of scrappy materials appearing as a type of board, stuffed and covered with barkcloth on front sides and lower back, while the upper back is covered with a type of bunny cotton fabric. The bunny back has some fauxing The bottom is covered with cotton and has staining and fauxing.The seat cover lifts up for storage and you may stick your pins in the couch back and seat. What a wonderful early sewing piece find. Best guess circa 1940s. Overall Couch measures: Height 9 1/2 inches; Length side to side across 11 3/4 inches; Width Front to back over all 7 inches. The lift top inner compartment measures: Height bottom to top 3 1/2 inches; Length side to side across 9 3/4 inches; Width front to back 6 3/4 inches; Remains in excellent over all condition after all these years.
