Vintage Uneeda Walker Doll Playpal Playmate 35 inch marked U 32. She still displays lovely. She is made of a hard plastic. She has brown rooted hair and missing some plugs in the front and she may have had a hair cut and kind of flat from wearing her bonnet. She has lovely sleep hazel, yet light blue sparkling eyes with lashes. Eyes over all good, there is some corner soiling on the white part. Her lashes are lovely same as her painted on brows. Her lips are painted on pink and have a bit of wear as pictured of coarse still remain lovely. She has all her toes and fingers. Jointed head, arms and legs. She is marked on the back of the head U 32. Condition. As you know this doll is 50+ years and with these dolls to have the limbs still remaining is fantastic. You can't grab these heavy dolls by the arm as you may be left just holding the arm. You hold her by her body and then walk her with both hands. She does still walk well and her jointed arms, legs and head move nicely. One arm has extra plastic between the arm hold and arm. I am not certain why that is there? But, does not hurt anything and the arm moves back and forth freely and is secure. Somebody dragged this poor doll all over apparently without her clothes, she has deep soiled scratches on her stomach, back, butt and tips of toes and one of her poor foot's heel is squashed in. There are lesser scratches throughout her body, See pictures. She also has a hole poked in her top front of one leg see picture near hip area. She has soiling and needs cleaning. I have left her just as found, other then undress and re-dress her for photographing. Her clothing is not original, but darling on her. She is wearing a lovely green bonnet in a heavy polished type cotton fabric, with black lace trim and black ribbon tie and green matching heavy polished type cotton fabric dress with a pleated front with black faceted glass buttons that appear glued on, the buttons may have been originally for jewelry. Her dress is pleated at the waist with a black ribbon tie. She has a Peter Pan Collar trimmed with lace. Her sleeve cuffs are in a white cotton with white cotton eyelet trim. The cuffs gather at the wrist with pull elastic at the cuff and one sleeve doesn't have much elasticity left. The way it is sewn and slipped through it is a simple fix to replace, but you can gather and tie to look lovely as seen at the wrist. Please note there is a black and white squiggle line stain towards the bottom that starts on one side and goes around almost the whole back side, which is hard to see in picture but it is there. No other stains nor tears. A nice slip on dress with three snap closures at the back top. This dress has a label that reads made by Viola Berthelson Stratford Conn 06497. Under her dress she is wearing a victorian style slip made of cotton, the top is a light cream color and the bottom is white, trimmed with eyelet lace. Undies are bloomers made of white cotton and lace trim. They are a little large for her and have staining. Socks fit well and have staining. Tooled black leather shoes that buckle on the sides. The shoes are unmarked. They do have some scuffs and have been worn, but remain in good shape. They are a childs, 1950s to 1960s time period. Height 35 inches; Width shoulder to shoulder across 11 1/2 inches; Depth, front to back at belly 7 1/2 inches. Please ask any questions. Shipping cost is actual cost, no handle fee.
