This is a vintage promotional pocket tape measure featuring the text "WARD'S GREATEST HARDWARE SALE" embossed on one side. The casing is constructed from a grey molded plastic, featuring a textured grip pattern on the reverse side for ease of handling. This compact collectible was likely a promotional giveaway from Montgomery Ward during one of their major hardware sales events, dating back to the mid-20th century. It is a charming piece of retail advertising history, perfect for collectors of vintage tools, hardware memorabilia, or Montgomery Ward department store history.
