This is a nice clean .25" wide quality socket firmer chisel marked by the maker, but the mark runs off the side of the chisel.  We can see only the mark of high quality steel: "WARRANTED STEEL.". This chisel is of the extra thin variety, less than 1/8" thick near the cutting edge, enlarging to 3/16" at the socket end of the flat section.  The thin light duty chisel from the early 1900's are almost always found cracked at the thin end.  This one is solid.  The cutting edge has been sharpened, and is ready to use. Little wear, some minor staining, no rust, good to use. The leather wrapped handle is in very good condition with very little wear, solid, fits tightly, is a little longer than the average handle. Overall a sharp great quality chisel, ready for use. It measures 12.5" long overall, planty of use left in this one!
