Description

This is Vignaud Feres Limoges Chocolate pot. It is white bisque with a matte finish and a lot of gold trim. It comes with two cups that are by Tressemanes and Vogt of Limoges. They clearly are not a matched set other than they are both white bisque with gold. The Vignaud Feres mark is dated 1911 while the Tressemanes & Vogt mark is dated 1891 making this set an antique. There is a tiny chip on one saucer as shown. The chocolate pot measures 4.00 inches wide by 3.50 inches deep. It is 6.75 inches tall to the rim and 8.00 inches tall to the top of the flower shaped handle. The chocolate pot holds twenty-four fluid ounces. Each teacup is 2 1/8 inches wide by 2.25 inches tall. The saucers are 4.50 inches wide. One oddity is the chocolate pot lid. It has a cut out in the rim for the spout, but this spout does not require the cut out. The spout starts below the lid rim and there is no shaping inside the pot to require it. So I’m not sure exactly why it’s there. The lid fits perfectly. Besides the tiny chip on the saucer-there are no chips, cracks, stains, crazing, or other problems. See more wonderful items at Debsellstoyou.
