Annapurna, herioc conquest of the highest mountain ever climbed by man at the time of publishing is mesmorizing and unbelievable. This book is the true story of a group of men who climb the highest mounting in 1954 without the 21 century equipment that is used today.  There is also 5 pages out of the October 11, 1954 Life magazine about these climbers.  Totally a great story.  Yes, I read it.Book is in excellent condition, but cover is torn.
