This is a very clean early bicycle caliper/wrench marked "BILLINGS & SPENCER CO. HARTFORD, CONN. C.E. BILLINGS PAT'D FEB. 18TH 1879". in nice crisp, clear lettering. It has an 1/32nd inch scale on the inside bar showing the size it's opened to. The wrench has no rust, no damage, and little sign of use, mostly minor pitting here and there as shown in photos. One of the few I've had in the 4" size with totally parallel jaws.
