This is a nice, clean, universal surface gauge that is marked CRAFTSMAN but we believe it was made by Millers Falls Co. since CRAFTSMAN is a Sears Retail Store trade name. The base is 2.5 x 2.9", with a 9" long vertical rod, and comes with a good original scriber in 90% like new condition overall. The surface gauge and all of it's fitting are in good working order.  It has a slightly darkened finish but no rust and it has been cleaned and oiled, ready for precision service.
