This is a very nice clean 2-3" size micrometer with .001" graduations. It is marked "THE LUFKIN RULE CO. NO. 1943 2 TO 3 IN." on the frame and also some patent numbers are marked on the other side. This micrometer is in very good shape! It was completely refurbished a number of years ago, and then never used. It still has the protective plastic covering on the tips, paint is over 99% intact, no past owner's names or marks, inspected, and calibrated, found to be in fine working order. The friction brake, and the ratchet fine adjustement features work just fine also. A very carefully refurbished and calibrated micrometer, made by a very well known quality toolmaker!
