Natural interpretrator of Paradise full of flowers, Cherry Tree so restful yet, cheerful and the Peony Flower is esteemed as one of the most exquisite flowers a symbol for nobility and value. Height with lid to top of lid handle knob 8 1/2 inch; Height with bail handle straight up 12 inch; 8 inch side to side X 7 inch front to back. No cracks also no crazing. But the lid knob appears to have been broken off and glued on some years back and the lid knob appears to have been painted with a gold trim like the two side bail handle holders however, most of this trim is gone on the lid knob as seen. Over all in excellent condition and the most unusual form in this era, very hard to find example. The maker is unknown to me and the stamp mark with the mountain is unfamiliar to me.
