Midget Dictionaries Set of 5 Midget Books with Holder 1954. Publisher Burgess & Bowes Ltd., London. Set with holder includes the following five hard cover books with gold gild page ends. Note: These were purchased from Estate sale of former Late Probate Judge, John F. Webster. John was a prominent Attorney in Franklin County Vermont and likewise his father and grandfather all Attorneys from Swanton and St. Albans, Vermont. I was lucky to have clerked under John. The insides are in excellent condition. With just evidence of tight fit in holder and years of being in holder on desk or shelf. The gold gild page ends are minty looking condition, excluding book 1. The covers have issues and my best guess from removing from and putting backing into the holder, as it is a very tight fit. Books and individual conditions are as follows : 1. English. This has cover wear at the top spine and at the corner of book top; 2. German - English. The cover has a bit of black missing on the bottom edge see picture and video; 3. French - English. Over all good just a few rubs of the black on the cover on the bottom edges; 4. Italian - English. Over has a piece missing on the top spine area.
