This is a 4" adjustable wrench with the twist type handle, marked by the maker "W & B CO. HERCULES MADE IN USA" The logo in the shape of a diamond is that of the WHITMAN & BARNES CO.".  Also marked with the patent date, "Feb. 27.83" It's in good++ condition, not rusty. Minimal wear to the wrench overall with smooth adjusting knurl and jaw. One of the nicest I've seen in this medium size! Made by Whitman & Barnes Mfg. Co. New York N.Y. U.S.A. in the late 1800's to early 1900's era!  The 4" size twist handle didn't have the addition twists out toward the end of the handle, but the 5" and up did.  It was a good design, very strong.
