This is a rare model or version of the Sargent parallel pliers. This one features the spring loaded to open position, and a .25" pin punch size. The pin is tapered, and has no wear on it, it is straight, with good alignment. It is marked "SARGENT"on the outside of each handle, and "SARGENT & CO. NEW HAVEN CONN. MADE IN U.S.A." around the center pin. Nickel plating is about 98% intact, good springs. This tool appears to be made to punch material up to 3/16" thick, and has an adjustable depth stop you can set up to 1" to the center line of the punch diameter to the edge of the material, making punching holes fast and accurate.
