Manufacturer: JB Cole Pottery
This is a beautifully crafted tea set, hand thrown by Nell Cole Graves of JB Cole Pottery. It consists of a tea pot with lid, a covered sugar bowl and a creamer. Done in that wonderful "mottled green" glaze! Teapot measures 5 1/4" high by 4 3/4" diam, sugar bowl measures 2 7/8" high (3 1/4" high with the lid) and approx. 4 1/2" diam, and the creamer measures 3" high by 4 1/2" diam. The pitcher was two shallow flakes on the top edge - one is underneath the spout the other is on the inside rim (both are about 1/4" long). The sugar has an extremely shallow 1/4" long flake on the inside rim butting up to the handle. Typical JB Cole belt sander marks on the bottoms and nicely thinly thrown pots. Circa 1950's. (#NC066)
