4 Inch Stove Tile by Beaver Falls of Young Man A 4 inch blue in color stove done by Beaver Falls Art Tile of a young man with a tie and facing left. The tile is in very good condition with only minor normal crazing. The edge is painted gold. The diameter of the back is 4-1/4 inches and has the notch for the locking in to place on the stove.

Each tile measures 4 x 4 inches and are 1/2 inch in thickness. Each tile has the classic feature of the firing cones used to stack tiles in the kiln. The backs are all clearly marked Chemla - Tunis Made in Tunisia.

101st Airborne Operation Market Garden Tile - Netherlands WW2 Red clay tile that says -Dutch Airborne friends thankful for Freedom-. This has a paratrooper holding onto his shoot. There are other paratroopers and planes in the background. Commemorating Operation Market Garden, the tile has a windmill and an 101st Airborne shield in the foreground. Signed on back Graft Oisterwijk.

The movie Band of Brothers had a part that was dedicated to Operation Market Garden.

Measures 4 3/4 inches x 6 inches and has two factory holes at the top for hanging or mounting this interesting tile.

Done in raised line technique using many different glaze colors. In excellent condition. (#1821)

California Art Tile - Camels at an Oasis This tile panel measures 11-5/8 inches X 5-7/8 inches and 3/4 inch in thickness. The scene is of a couple of camels at what appears to be an oasis. The 1 camel in the foreground has a person standing besides. This camel has water "jugs" hanging from the saddle. Tile is in very nice condition and has a crisp stamped back mark

Hand Painted Minton Tile - Woman Picking Roses Garden This is a wonderfully done 8 inch square tile done on a Minton Hollins blank. The tile is of a young lady in a rose garden holding a small basket of just picked roses. She is walking along a brick wall with ivy and rose bushes. Ahead of her there is what appears to be an older woman watching around the end of the wall. The tile is signed R.E. in the lower right corner, one chip about 1'8th of and inch at bottom, minor bites at other areas. Some scratches on surface. ( T1099H )

1915 Wedgwood Calendar Tile Boston Custom House #2 Made in 1915, by Wedgwood, England, this is a calendar tile for the year of 1915. Done in dark brown transfer. The scene is of Boston Custom House - Massachusetts. This is the variant of the scene with "more smoke". It also says "28 Stories - 495 feet high". Two original mounting holes. Measures 4 3/4" x 3 3/8". Nips around edges - generally very nice condition. The calendar side says "Jones McDuffee & Stratton Crockery China & Glass Merchants, 33 Franklin St. Boston USA. (#T-2028)

Wedgwood Ivanhoe Plate Friar Tuck & Black Knight This antique Wedgwood blue transferware plate is titled Friar Tuck Entertains the Black Knight. The scene shows the Friar standing and talking to the Black Knight, while the knight eats from a bowl. Standing next to the table are two dogs. The design around the edge has portraits of Coeur de Lion, Rebecca, Isaac of York, Lady Rowenna, and others along with running hares, pheasants, chickens, grouse, fish and flowers. A masterful design! Measures 10" in diameter. Circa 1890. This is in excellent condition. (There was also a lovely set of transferware tiles created with these Ivanhoe scenes.) (#T-1201)

4 Inch Stove Tile Boy with Arrows at Fire Pot A fabulous subject matter stove tile of a young boy warming his hands at an open flame fire pot. The boy has a quiver full of arrows at his back. The tile is turquoise in color. There are areas of the tile at the high points that have loss, the most significant place is at the hair above the forehead of the boy. Unable to attribute this tile piece to any specific maker. This tile measures 4 inches at the visible portion and has a back diameter of 4-1/4 inches and also has a nice deep relief of 7/8 of an inch.

8-1/2" Franklin Cowboy on Horseback Leading Foal Tile - Mountains - Desert A great self framed tile made by Franklin Tile of Lansdale, Pennsylvania. Tile has Cowboy on Horseback leading a foal, in the background there are mountains, in the foreground is a cactus and more of what looks to be a desert scene. The tile measures 8-1/2 " square and is 3/8" in thickness. The back is the classic Franklin and has what appears to be the factory numeric marks of C-501 with a side ways S ( see photo ). There is a small edge chip on the lower left measuring 1/8" x 1/4" some edge roughness. Field of tile is in very good condition.
