Mosaic Border Tile with Unusual Mark What makes this border tile so unusual is the mark. The Mosaic Tile Company, in Zanesville, Ohio, produced some terrific tiles - and this is a very nice heavy border tile, with a rope design, and semi matte green glazes. Measures 6" and sits 1" high - one minor glaze chip near one end. The mark of the company is unusual - not the standard conjoined MTC logo - and one side bears hand written numbers. Circa 1920. Set of 5 Blue White Antique Tiles with Hunting Animals Hunting was a desirable motif on tiles of the Victorian era, and these are great examples. Two different scenes - one design is of dogs chasing a rabbit, and the other of dogs chasing a wild boar. All are in an unusual light blue color, on a white background. Each measures 8 ¼" x 4 1/8", and were made in Germany, ca 1880. There are 2 tiles with the wild boars, and 3 tiles with the rabbit. One boar tile has a left edge chip, and one rabbit tile has a tiny flake on the left and bottom edge. Others are in excellent condition. (#T-1204)

Moravian Border Tiles - set of 4 This is a set of 4 border tiles, made by the Moravian Pottery & Tile Works, of Doylestown, PA, circa 1920. Each hand made tile measures approximately 4 1/4" x 2 1/2" inches. Three of the tiles are in very good condition, and the fourth one has a rather large chip. Two of the good ones are done in blue and cream with red flush, the third one has a reddish hue over the entire tile, and the fourth one with the chip is green and cream with red flush. Great for a table, or as paperweights, or in an installation. (#1556)

Mexican House Number Tiles - set of 3 Great for use on houses, porches, gardens; this is a set of 3 Mexican tiles, each with a different number. These are numbers 3, 4, 5. Each is 5 1/4" x 2 3/4" red clay, hand painted. Age is unknown. Chip on bottom and back side of #4, minor glue on the backs. One is marked "Made in Mexico" - others are unmarked red clay. (#3205)

California Faience Border Tile with Waves Measures 6 1/8" long x 1 3/8" wide x 1/4" thick - hand made - marked on the back. High glazes of gold, blue and turquoise - raised line technique. This tile was photographed for the book "California Tile The Golden Era 1910 - 1940 Acme to Handcraft". It is pictured on page 121. In outstanding condition.
