Hand Woven Sweet Grass Round Sewing Basket for sewing, Vintage in good condition. It is 3 1/2 inches high and 6 1/4 inches wide. These were often used by ladies to hold their sewing and mending needles and thread to have by their chairs for when they sat down to mend. It is a nice woven design and sold as found with a few breaks in the weave as seen.

This may be an Abenaki Indian Basket and perhaps made in Swanton Vermont. I cannot Verify
