Great Expectations Antiques

Circa: 1920's-30's
Condition: Very Good
Manufacturer: PECK, STOW & WILCOX Southington CT U.S.A.
This is a very nice, clean, and polished patented ratchet hand brace, and it has a 10" dia. sweep. This model features the 3 position ratchet adjuster for the rachet system directional adjustment.  It has an early patent design aligator jaw without any spring for opening the jaws, by design.  The jaws open by gravity as the threaded sleeve is loosened.  The chuck works fine, very good working ratchet system as well. It is also marked  "P.S.&W. CO. NO. 3910" basically a abbreviated name used by (PECK, STOW, & WILCOX). The head turns smoothly, capped with a very nice hardwood handle, and the crank handle matches it very well in condition and appearence. The condition is very good overall, with no rust and very little wear overall.  About 95% polished nickel plating intact, look very nice!  No damage, a very well cared for tool. Both handles are very nice condition. In really good working condition overall. A quality made brace, still in great shape, nice looking too!  This brace measures 13" long overall.
