Great Expectations Antiques

Circa: 1930's
Condition: Good++
Manufacturer: Stanley New Britain Conn. U.S.A.
Offering this nice clean 12" long bladed combination square, with a nice inch graduations on both side of the blade.  The blade can be mounted in 4 possible direction by loosening the blade fastener nut and moving the square head all the way to the end of the slot in the blade.  Once at the end the blade can be removed or it can also simply be rotated to the opposite position on the head.  Also has the built in steel scriber in the square head. The blade is very clean, with inch graduations on both sides. It is marked by the maker, "STANLEY NO. 21 PAT. 1984951" on the blade, and that patent number reflects a 1934 patent date. The blade has some minor staining or darkening of the finished steel surface, but the graduations are clear and easy to read.  The is a good working level tube in the square head also.  Overall good++ condition, with about 85% of the original black paint intact. It square has been tested to be sure it is square, looks fine!  Still a nice looking tool.
