Offering this quality, vintage, like new, sharp, useable 1" high speed tapered pipe tap in the original vintage box, with the original wrapping, and appears like new. The box top is clearly marked "UNION TWIST DRILL CO. BUTTERFIELD DIVISION DERBY LINE VT. U.S.A. 1" HIGH SPEED PIPE TAP FOR STEEL ONLY". The tap is also marked "BUTTERFIELD 1 NPT 11-1/2 HS8 FOR STEEL 432". These vintage taps are very hard to find quality machinist disposable tools in their original box. The tap are in very good shape, clean and sharp, no damage, and appear to have the original rust ban type coating on it. The box is clean, and solid and has protected the taps since the mid 1900's when they were made, some minor edge wear on the box, and shop dirt noted, solid.
