Tricia's Treasures

Manufacturer: MIRIAM HASKELL
This is a vintage unsigned brooch made by MIRIAM HASKELL and designed by Frank Hess. The brooch has red-orange glass beads that look like red coral and tiny glass beads which are connected to the setting by dark red-orange thread. There is one larger red-orange glass bead sitting atop green enameled leaves which are on top of a large brass flower. There is a small flower on top of the orange bead. The brooch has the hammered metal back which is uncommon. The beads are a little darker than they appear in my pictures. The brooch measures 2-1/4 inches by 1-3/4 inches. On page 116 of Cathy Gordon and Sheila Pamfiloff's book, Miriam Haskell Jewelry, are pictures of the necklace, bracelet and fur clip which match this brooch. The book states that the set was purchased in Paris in the 1930's. The brooch is in very good condition with no problems that I can find. It has not been cleaned or polished. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for stopping by.
